Bronwyn Hesketh tells people that she’s never been bored, that no-one day is ever like another; that she doesn’t have a job, but an adventure … and the challenge is yet to be mastered! With more than twenty years’ experience with the South African speaking industry, heading up one of the country’s leading Speaker Agencies for the last eighteen, Bronwyn has worked with every top speaker in the country.
She was a founder member of the PSASA (the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa), having sat on the board for nearly two years (the only agent to ever sit on such a board in the world, apparently, in her capacity as bureau principal, and not as a speaker) and worked hard with founding president Stef du Plessis and fellow board members to get the Association off the ground.
Bronwyn was also the first South African Bureau-owner to belong to the International Association of Speaker Bureaus, represented in twelve countries across the globe by its 109 members.
In line with her vision of helping to create and maintain an industry that is honourable, ethical and professional, Bronwyn also sat on the committee of the Northern Territories branch of SAACI (the South African Association for the Conference Industry).
You have a powerful message to share with audiences and a burning passion to jump up on stage and do just that.
But where and how do you start? And then: how do you get an agent?
SpeakerSavvy was written with both the aspiring and established speaker in mind. It’s a comprehensive, down-to-earth guide on starting or taking your speaking business to the next level.
In her light-hearted, pull-no-punches style, bureau owner Bronwyn Hesketh tells it like it is. Bound to ruffle a few feathers, the book is designed to help speakers avoid the pitfalls of the speaking industry while giving them solid advice on what she has seen work (and NOT work) over her 20 years in the industry.
If you are keen to shave a few years off your learning curve as a Professional Speaker, this is the book for you.
